This is the licence DroidFX ships with (the LICENSE file). The components it includes are listed, with their own licences, in Third-party notices.

DroidFX End-User Licence

"DroidFX" means the DroidFX firmware, its web user interface and the DroidFX ETHOS widget, in the form published at droidfx.app, together with any documentation published with them.

1. Permission to use

You may install and use DroidFX, free of charge, on your own devices -- including on droids, props and other builds that you sell, give away, exhibit or display -- provided you obtained DroidFX from droidfx.app.

2. What you may not do

Except as allowed in section 3, you may not:

(a) redistribute, sell, rent, lend or publish DroidFX itself (installing it on a build that you then sell or give away, as allowed in section 1, is not redistribution);
(b) modify DroidFX or create derivative works of it; or
(c) reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble DroidFX.

3. Third-party components and the LGPL re-link right

DroidFX includes third-party components, listed with their licences in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md (also served by the device and shown on the web interface under Firmware -> Licenses & Credits).

(a) Those components remain under their own licences. Anything those licences permit, you may do, and nothing in this licence restricts the rights they give you.
(b) In particular, you may modify the LGPL-licensed libraries that DroidFX is linked with and re-link DroidFX against your modified versions, using the re-link kit published for each DroidFX version at droidfx.app/downloads, and you may reverse engineer DroidFX to the extent needed to debug such modifications. You may use the firmware you produce this way on your own devices as in section 1.

4. No warranty

DROIDFX IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

DroidFX drives servos, lighting and audio on physical hardware. Operating it safely -- the hardware it controls, its wiring and power, and the people and property around it -- is your responsibility.

5. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COPYRIGHT HOLDER BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR OTHERWISE, AND WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH DROIDFX OR ITS USE.

6. Termination

This licence ends automatically if you break its terms. You must then stop using DroidFX and remove it from your devices. Sections 3(a), 4 and 5 survive termination.
